John McMicken, CEO
John oversees day-to-day operations and is responsible for ongoing business planning and the evaluation of new service offerings for the Evergreen Cooperative Corporation business units. McMicken has 20 years of experience in technology services, having held senior-level positions in business development and operations management.
He has successfully launched a variety of technology startups. In 2009, he founded Virtical Technologies, LLC, a Cleveland consulting firm. Prior to that he was president of Inventus Technologies, which provides document-management services to law firms, where he was instrumental in opening four new markets over a five-year period. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary.
Rosalyn (“Roz”) A. Ciulla, Director, Finance
Roz manages the strategic direction for Evergreen Cooperative Development Fund and oversees the Fund’s day-to-day operations. She works on Evergreen Cooperatives Corporation initiatives and with the business units to analyze and strengthen business plans, evaluate and structure financing requests and assist with securing additional funding. She also provides ongoing technical assistance to the business units and assists in fundraising efforts.
Prior to joining Evergreen, Roz was a senior vice president and manager of Key Community Development Corporation. In that capacity, she initiated equity investments and loans in businesses and projects that promoted community welfare by providing affordable housing, creating jobs and stimulating reinvestment in low- and moderate-income communities nationally. She has more than 25 years of banking experience in small business and commercial real estate lending, mezzanine financing and equity investing. She holds an MBA from Lake Erie College and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Accounting from Notre Dame College.
Allen Grasa, President
Allen joined Evergreen Cooperative Laundry in 2013, and was named President in January 2014. In this capacity, he manages ECL’s day-to-day business activities. Prior to joining ECL, he was the Operations Manager at Integrity Textile Service in Cleveland, where he was responsible for the overall function of a commercial laundry facility that serviced and delivered more than three million pounds of laundry. Prior to that he was the Operations Manager with Sodexo, Cleveland, a national management company known for providing services to the healthcare industry–including laundry, food and environmental services.
Brett Jones, President
Brett Jones joined the Evergreen team in 2013 as the Director of Strategic Projects for Evergreen’s four business units, and in 2015 stepped into the role of President for Evergreen Energy Solutions. As President, Mr. Jones directs the day-to-day business activities focusing on continuous improvement, safety and quality. A former Fulbright Fellow, he is a graduate of Ohio State University and holds an MBA from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management. He also serves as chairman of the school board for Harvard Avenue Performance Academy, a local community school. In his own words, “It is very rewarding to come to work every day knowing that what we do here at Evergreen changes lives and creates opportunities. This is the most satisfying work I have ever done.”
Jeremy Lisy, Vice President of Sales, Specialty Greens
Jeremy serves as Green City Growers’ main ambassador to restaurant chefs and other members of the regional locavore community. He is a veteran chef who started his professional career at the Ritz-Carlton Cleveland. Jeremy grew up in Maple Heights, where he first learned his love for growing in his parents’ garden. He’s the former owner of KJ Greens, a successful microgreen business that owned and operated a 30-acre farm.
Wynette Bryant, Executive Assistant / Customer Service Manager
Wynette is Executive Assistant to the Evergreen management team and serves as the customer service manager for Green City Growers. She has served in several high-level executive and administrative positions, having demonstrated special capacities in human resources, accounting and customer service. In her current position she is responsible for all incoming greenhouse orders, management of our West Side Market staff and coordination of seasonal markets. She is excited about the opportunity to leverage her background in religious studies and prison ministry for the benefit of Evergreen’s community re-entry hiring strategy.
